“Village”

When we first started managing Alex’s support, we enlisted some friends to help us think about it all. But then, as we started to employ young people to work with him, all of the boundaries between family, freely given support and paid support gradually became more blurred. Many of the young people who’ve worked with Alex have also become like extended family. So now we just refer to “The Village”, our family, friends and team members who share a commitment to a good life for Alex.
